Do you ever say something thinking about yourself when someone else is saying something about themselves, and what you say makes you sound totally rude?
Totally confused?
Well, let me give you an example. Tonight I was talking with a good friend who was lamenting her weight. She said "I really need to lose X pounds."
My response, as I think about myself, "yeah, I know."
Oops. I guess I need to learn the words of Dr. Phil: "It ain't about you!"

I swear I've been doing this all the time lately. The week before BlogHer was the worst, as I couldn't control my gall on twitter. Examples?
I complained about having a low feed reader count. As in, I complained about only having xxx subscribers to friends that have xx subscribers. Sweet, right? Come on, Megan! Head out of your butt!
